Several crews
Most people need one crew. To make another, run cadrei new <name>, and cadrei use <name> makes it the default. cadrei init <name> still works too; it’s the old name for cadrei new. A command acts on:
- the crew in
CADREI_HOME, when that’s set; - otherwise the crew whose folder you’re in (
~/.cadrei/<name>); - otherwise the crew of the project you’re in (when several crews link it, cadrei asks which one; without a terminal it refuses and says how to choose);
- otherwise the default crew.
Cadrei reads configuration only from ~/.cadrei or CADREI_HOME, never from the folder you happen to be in. Members and your orchestrator start with CADREI_HOME set, so changing folders never switches their crew. Session names carry the crew’s name, so two crews can each run a dev team. cadrei ls --all and cadrei stop --all cover every crew.
